If vintage Barbie Dolls have green ears, how much does it diminish their value?
Blonde Bubble Cut has one ear green.
Swirl Ponytail Blonde Barbie has both ears green, now starting into hair slightly.
I think it's really a case-by-case basis. The other varying types of deterioration leave every Vintage Doll one of a kind.
If the plastic isn't discolored, and the hair and make-up are still good, the value will be less affected than a very worn doll.
I agree that the best way is to compare with similar dolls in closed eBay auctions.
