BnS Ute Scene: Good Utes And Great Times
I have crossed many areas of this incredible country through many of the mining and country districts as a heavy load transport truck escort. We travel on famous stretches of the roads - the Pacific Highway, the Golden Highway, the northern Savannah Development road and the beautiful Beef road. Everywhere we go, we pass b&s utes of all descriptions and they each have their own unique flavour and character, as these people are living the dream. The formidable bull bars, spot lights, mudflaps and aerials and that mighty V8 sound pumping out the exhaust pipe. They represent the personality and character of the owner and the roads are their playground. This is the same type of character from the original Aussies; a love of freedom on the open road, a love of the bush combined with the good old Aussie live and let live streak.
At the end of a lond days haul, we set up camp by the roadside and share stories by the fire in to the early hours. To see a bns ute coming from miles away can be quite a sight as their impressive landing lights you would expect to find on a truck, can be seen coming from miles away. These utes prowl the roads late into the night with some going to work and others either going home, to pubs or to catch up with their mates.
Who can deny these Aussies this great tradition, that only ever grows in interest?
